In the aim of cutting the cost of its 3D glasses, NVIDIA is due to unveil a pair of wired 3D specs at the Computex 2011 tech show!
These glasses have a three-metre USB cable and are both lighter and cheaper than the wireless 3D glasses currently on the market. The wired glasses have been announced with an RRP of $99 compared with $149 for the wireless model (although they actually sell for a little less).
We're a bit dubious about this idea, however, as putting a connection cable on 3D glasses is a bit like taking a step backwards in terms of technology. In fact, it's a step backwards that could actively put people off 3D viewing and gaming.
Plus, it seems all the more unnecessary since Samsung's wireless active 3D glasses can be picked up for £50 to £65.
