Test and analysis
We move on to WinRAR. This data compression software is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. We therefore use the 32-bit version on the entry-level machine and the 64-bit version on the high-end machine.

On the slower machine, there are just some small differences.

The same goes for the faster machine: there are differences but they're negligeable.

Here are the results that we obtained on our entry-level machine, then on our high-end machine.

Entry-level machine (Core 2 Duo) - Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
Rendering time in seconds: low is good

High-level machine (Core i7) - Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Rendering time in seconds: low is good
