Any changes to articles on individuals will now be submitted to experienced contriubutors who will have the task of targetting and checking information submitted.

The participative encyclopedia has set up a system of flagged revisions. The restriction will only apply to articles concerning living people. The system, that has been running on the German version of the site for some time, aims to avoid hiccups such as the premature announcement of the death of two American senators in January this year. Intentional errors or even deliberate attacks have been a problem with Wikipedia for some time.

The encyclopedia has become a reference for most internet users throughout the world. Founded 8 years ago, it is one of the ten most popular sites and lists over 3 million articles in its English language version.
