More than a year after the first news of the V3D241wm-LED, ViewSonic has finally decided that the time has come for its flagship 120 Hz monitor to hand on the 3D baton to its successor, the V3D245wm-LED.

The two monitors are relatively similar, both offering a 23.6'' 1920 x 1080 pixel display backlit using LEDs.  The TN panel promises a response time of 2 ms, and ViewSonic is still claiming an entirely unrealistic contrast ratio of 20000000:1.  Audio is provided by the same pair of 2 x 2 W speakers.

The big difference is the inclusion of an infrared transmitter allowing the new LV3D245wm-LED to communicate directly with the viewer's active 3D glasses.  It also gets an HDMI 1.4 input, meaning that ViewSonic's new monitor will be able to display three dimensional content from any device with an HDMI output, much like the Acer GN245HQ.
