After last week's blockbuster line-up with Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Red Dead Redemption, things have been a little bit quieter in the world of video games. However, that doesn't mean that nothing's been going on, as the sequel to the now classic Wii game No More Heroes hit the high-street on Friday.

Travis Touchdown is back for another dose of action in No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. The hero is plunged back into a world of deadly assassins to avenge his friend and regain his title as the undisputed number one killer. Although part two of No More Heroes doesn't have the appeal of a brand new game, this new version does offer a more complex fighting system, big bad bosses who'll give you nightmares and two new characters to play as. Plus, it's all tinged with the same dark humour that helped make the original game so successful.

Fans of the Ultimate Fighting Championship will be pleased to see the release of UFC 2010 Undisputed. The manufacturer has used all the criticism and feedback from the first UFC game to make this new and seriously improved 2010 version. Gameplay has been subtly enhanced and you can, for example, now dodge blows to duck and dive your way out of a battering. Strikes, submissions and even more moves have been upgraded, and the key combinations have also been improved so they'll be much less harsh on your controllers.

Friday saw the release of a new racing game, Blur, which is basically a cross between Need For Speed and Mario Kart. It's a game that's packed with high-power, high-speed cars, but the result of the race depends as much on your driving skills as on the bonuses you pick up along the way. The multiplayer mode in console-based versions allows you to play with the screen split into four. There's also an online mode for racing against drivers from all around the world.

On a more nostalgic note, the legendary Doom 2 was also released on Xbox Live Arcade. For 800 points, you can now once again explore the (highly pixelated) worlds of Doom 2. This cult game was many gamers' first real FPS (and it was also mine!).
