The DC19 T2 and the DC19 Allergy are identical except on two points:
- colour, yellow for the T2, violet for the Allergy,
- the filter. The filter on the Allergy is Hepa 12 certified, which means that it filters at least 99.5% of micro-particles. The T2 isn't certified, though Dyson does say that the air expelled is cleaner than the air that goes in.
Pluses
-
Filter only needs cleaning every 6 months
-
Energy consumption lower than average
-
Very robust!
-
Easy access to the filter, easy maintenance
-
It consumes less power than others without being less effective
Minuses
-
Intake of air on emptying dust repository can dislodge dust
-
Very noisy: 80 dB
-
Fine on carpet-tile and deep-pile but the specially designed brushes for this do better
Excellent machine for anyone who wants a low consumption and, above all, low maintenance hoover! The filter system really is more practical than on your average vacuum cleaner.
