The Verbatim Store 'n' Go USB Executive 32 GB key joins our product survey. It's available in 4 versions: 4, 8, 16 and 32 GB. We were able to test the 32 GB version.
In the form of a standard key, it looks rather like a first generation model. The only original feature: a slide out connector has replaced the standard one with cap. It slides back inside the key for added protection and you only slide it out when you need it. Very practical for anyone who loses their top regularly! Note that the latch used to slide the connector in and out also serves as a diode for reads and writes.
There's no strap or keyring supplied but there is an attachment to fix one to the key.
Performance: excellent across the board!
For both reads 27.6 MB/s and writes 11 MB/s, the USB Executive 32 GB is up there with the best in our product survey. Only with small files is it a little disappointing, like almost all the products we've given a 5 star rating to. A dependable product!
