Software
SanDisk's USB keys come with U3 Smart technology, which allows you to securely store files and software. You can also save settings, bookmarks and preferences so that you can ensure a familiar environment on any PC you connect it to.
The Extreme Cruzer Contour from SanDisk has a refined, elegant design, with an exterior that combines glossy black plastic with a metal underside.
It also features an innovative method of retracting the USB connector which slides out from inside the frame, meaning there's no need for a separate cap. It comes in three sizes, 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB, and SanDisk claim it's a high-performance key that can reach maximum read speeds of 25 MB/s.

Although the data transfer rates for moving multiple small files falls below SanDisk's target, the results are very good overall. The key had an average write speed of 11.6 MB/s and an average read speed of 23.3 MB/s. This new USB key puts SanDisk at the top of our table.
