Today sees another update to our buyer's guide for laptops and netbooks to keep up with recent developments. Alongside our other favourite models, we've add the first 3D-compatible laptop and a transportable multimedia heavyweight with a Blu-ray writer. At the start of the year, 3D was definitely the big buzzword. The Asus G51J 3D, is the first laptop to offer stereoscopic 3D, and so more than earned itself a place in the selection, as did the Toshiba Qosmio X500, which wowed us with its Full HD 18.4'' display and a very powerful configuration.
In our buyer's guide, you'll find my pick of the best products in the following categories:
- 10" to 12'': netbooks and mini laptops
- Small but powerful: easy to use but still thin and light
- Everyday Laptops
- Multimedia & Gaming
