The Conspin Andi One is an Android universal remote. It is infrared, wi-fi and RF compatible.

It has been out for a while to tell you the truth, but we had totally missed it up until now. Thanks to scorpion35 on the French language forum for letting us know about it. The Conspin Andi One is the first universal remote running on Android 2.1.

The channel change and volume control buttons come with a capacitive 3.5'' screen (320 x 480 pixels) on which you can display the in-house Conspin application which allows you to control your IR, wi-fi and RF equipment. A neat solution for all your home electronic devices.

Like on Logitech's Harmony, you can create macros (or activities) to automate the switching on or off of various devices (up to a maximum of 50). Around 10,000 are supported with a manual learning system included for devices.

The charger base has an HDMI out that allows you to port the display to a full-HD TV for enjoyment of Android multimedia potential on the large screen. The remote can also be adapted to be used as a wi-fi phone (SIP or other). While Conspin do talk about compatibility with Google content, there's no specific mention of access to Android Market.

We have contacted the European distributor to see if they can send us one of these exciting universal remotes for testing. It is currently on sale on the other side of the Atlantic for $350.
