We’re starting the new year by filling in the gaps in our product surveys and testing the few models that haven’t yet been through our labs. Here are a couple of sets from Sony’s range.
The first is the Sony Bravia EX1, a Full HD wireless TV connected to an external box. It offers a certain simplicity in terms of installation, with a minimum of wires. You’ll only need to tuck away the power cable when you set it up. But while it’s a nice idea, one still needs to follow up with image quality - something we had a good look at in our test!
Another test, the Sony Bravia E5500 is the “picture” version of the W5500. It therefore promises nice picture quality and equivalence with the model it's derived from.
> Test of the Sony Bravia KDL-46EX1 (also available in 40 and 52 inch versions)
> Test of the Sony Bravia KDL-32E5500 (available also in 40 inches, and in the different-coloured, 32E5520 and 40E5520)
Last but not least, don’t forget our new TV face-offs that are now online. You’ll find more readings and measures, more photos and more data to compare the different models with.
