Today we're reviewing Sony's top-of-the-range Bravia HX853. We got our hands on the 40" model, but this TV is also available in 46" (117 cm) and 55" (140 cm).

The Bravia KDL-40HX853 is one of Sony's high-end 2012 TVs, coming just above the HX753. The main difference between this top-of-the-range model and the HX753 is motion interpolation boosted to 800 Hz, not to mention a sleeker, more modern-looking design. Otherwise, like its lower-end counterpart, it boasts active-shutter 3D (no glasses supplied) and a built-in processor aimed at improving 3D and SD picture quality.
