With a PC

You have to activate the "show all pixels" option to obtain a perfect display with a PC in HDMI and 1920 x 1080 pixels. Text is perfectly clear and the edges of the image are not chopped off. You only have to make sure not to push the sharpness setting too far (for example, after having watched a DVD) to avoid a Windows desktop that appears too "hard".
Otherwise, although reactivity is not amongst the current best, its still above average for a TV or monitor.
Otherwise, although reactivity is not amongst the current best, its still above average for a TV or monitor.
This television is the 46’’ version of the 40’’ which we tested: the Bravia KDL-40V4000.
Characteristics, the panel and circuitry are identical and only brightness may vary slightly which minimally affects contrast. According to manufacturers (and our tests confirm), results from one diagonal size can easily be extrapolated to identical models of bigger or smaller sizes.
Pluses
-
Excellent image quality
-
Good contrast and depth in blacks
-
Nice rescaling of SD sources
Minuses
-
Incompatible HD TV tuner
-
Poor presettings
In the end, the V4000 is an excellent TV like the W4000. Its main weakness is the lack of an HD compatible digital tuner.
