This is a differently coloured 40 inch version of the Bravia KDL-32E5500 that we have tested.
For the rest, its spec is identical on all points to the model tested and we can therefore expect to find the same results on this model. Sometimes however, manufacturers do equip different sized versions differently with different panels. If this is the case, the results published here will not apply to the different panels. Contrast, black levels, colours and ghosting would then all be subject to notable differences on different panels.
And for those who use the same panel for all sizes, they give strictly identical results, except for brightness which can vary very slightly from one size to another, which can affect contrast. We have been able to check this in testing and our results have been confirmed by those manufacturers we have consulted on the subject.

Even if the E5500 is a little dated, it is still a high-performance TV and an aesthetic alternative to the W5500; above all for those who want a white model. Here, the WE5 can also enter into your consideration.
