A good monitor for your PC

Without trimming or deforming the image, the E4000 series can easily serve as a monitor for your PC. In addition, the low afterglow can open the possibilities for all types of games.
This television is the light gray version of the Bravia KDL-40E4000.
It’s derived from a model which we previously tested, the Bravia KDL-32E4000, and only the diagonal size differs.
Characteristics, the panel and circuitry are identical and only brightness may vary slightly which minimally affects contrast. According to manufacturers (and our tests confirm), results from one diagonal size can easily be extrapolated to identical models of bigger or smaller sizes.
However, note that the 10 bit panel in this version gives colors significantly more detail compared to the 32 inch model which is equipped with an 8 bit panel.
On the other hand, the bigger 40 diagonal will make the limits of rescaling SD sources more apparent, although this is still done very well by this series of TVs.
Pluses
-
Contrast and depth of black
-
Quality of display
-
HD compatible digital tuner
Minuses
-
We didnt like the finish
-
White remote and therefore will become dirty
A model derived from the W4000 series that has a ''frame'' look, the E4000 is well equipped for a quality display but look is a bit disappointing.
