This model is the 46'' version of the 55'' TV that we tested in our labs, the Samsung UE55B7000. Everything we said in the original article holds true--the only thing that's different is the size!
The components, both physical and electronic, are all identical to those found in the model we tested. The only factor which could be prone to slight variation is the brightness, producing slightly different contrast. According to our own tests, and assurances from manufacturers, the results of one TV can accurately be applied to others in the range.
However, some manufactuers use components from different suppliers for televisions of different sizes. Where this is the case, there can be significant differences in several areas.

Pluses
-
Excellent contrast
-
Excellent image quality for most scenes
-
Backlit remote control
-
Very thin, stylish frame
Minuses
-
Impossible to deactivate dynamic backlighting
-
Too pale in dark scenes
-
Glossy screen suffers from reflections
-
Average quality sound
With LED backlighting, the B7000 produces an excellent image quality which will wow the majority of viewers. Enthusiasts, though, are likely to be irritated by the fact you can't deactivate the dynamic backlighting. Either way, all viewers will need to watch out for reflections from the glossy screen.
