Following our investigations into Full HD resolution in active 3D TVs, Samsung has ensured us that its 3D plasma TVs do deliver Full HD 3D with 1080 lines per eye.

The head of Samsung France's TV division has assured us that the D5xxx/6xxx/7xxx/8xxx series 3D plasma TVs are all capable of delivering Full HD 3D images.

The only Samsung plasma TV that doesn't give genuine 'Full HD 3D' resolution is the D490 (the 43" model costs around £450!), as it uses an HD screen with a surprising resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels rather than a standard Full HD screen (1920 x 1080 pixels).

We haven't tested any of Samsung's 2011 plasma TVs yet, but maybe this is the perfect opportunity to check them out!
