Conclusion
The VT30 is no better than the VT20: it still has a great picture in both 2D and 3D. But Panasonic has put a lot of work into making it look better, and it's certainly paid off.
The Sony Bravia EX723 is an exceptional television. Inside its sleek design, it offers accurate colours and a HD picture that comes very close to perfection. But it's much more average in 3D, with very strong crosstalk meaning it loses a star.
The HX923 is quite simply perfect when showing 2D content, reproducing colours accurately with excellent contrast. In fact, it's almost as impressive as a plasma TV, with wide viewing angles and a nice even display thanks to its Full LED backlighting. It's a shame we can't say the same about 3D, where there's too much crosstalk. We're more than happy to stick with the incredible performance in 2D.
Like the GT30 before it, the Panasonic ST30 television produces a great quality picture. It's a great choice for Home Cinema fans with a tight budget.
The Sharp LC-60LE636E is a good giant TV. It will be a big hit with most viewers, but real Home Cinema fans will probably prefer a plasma TV to avoid problems like clouding, an uneven performance across the whole surface of the screen and slightly disappointing viewing angles.
