Conclusion
The LG LM615T is an excellent TV ... for well-lit rooms. The black level just isn't deep enough for lights-out cinema-style viewing. That's all the more of a shame since the out-of-the-box picture settings are excellent and 3D image quality is first rate.
While this TV was initially given a five-star review, we've since learned that a second version of the Philips PFL5507 is now being sold loaded with a different screen panel. Technology has been switched from UV²A to PVA in this new version, giving it lower contrast, slightly less impressive 3D and much more clouding.
