Conclusion
Apart from its revamped design and graphic interface, the Panasonic ST60 doesn't really improve on 2012's ST50. Still, it's a five-star TV and an excellent choice for home-cinema set-ups.
The Panasonic Viera ST50 really has nothing to envy of the higher-end VT50. In fact, image quality is just as good in this model. We therefore don't see much point in shelling out for the pricier model, as the ST50 won't disappoint home cinema buffs.
The recent switch from UV²A to PVA was a real blow to the 5500 series. It lowered the contrast, greatly increased the clouding and generated crosstalk in 3D mode. All this drops it down from a full "Five Star" rating on the original version to three stars in the models currently being manufactured. Turns out it's just an okay TV.
