Buyer's Guide: The Best 22'' to 27'' Televisions
A small TV is often a second TV for occasional use in a bedroom or kitchen. However, in most cases, a smaller model won't give quite as spectacular results as a big-screen TV. Here's our pick of the best 22'' (56 cm) to 27'' (69 cm) televisions.

- Colour fidelity. This is one of the most important things to look for in a TV. Out of the box, most TVs aren't configured properly, but switching to Cinema or Movie mode usually sorts things out.
- Contrast. Contrast is measured as a ratio between the intensity of the white and the depth of the black reproduced by a given TV. The higher the contrast ratio, the better the onscreen image will look. Anything from 2000:1 upwards will really bring out the best in onscreen pictures. Blacks will look nice and deep at 0.07 cd/m² or lower.
- 3D picture quality. There are two different types of 3D technology—active and passive. The advantage of active technology is that is displays a Full HD 3D image, while passive technology halves the overall resolution. However, the glasses required for passive 3D are cheaper and more comfortable, as they don't have any built-in electronics.
With these criteria in mind, here's our pick of the best 22'' to 27'' TVs out there right now.
Editor's Choice
The Samsung P2370HD and P2470HD are two of the best all-in-one TV and monitors out there. That doesn't mean they're perfect, however, as they could be more responsive and viewing angles are still a bit tight.
Two Alternatives
A Stylish 3D TV
The T27A950 is a very good 3D (active 3D) monitor that doubles up as a TV. However, if you compare it against the standard of today's big-screen TVs, it doesn't come close, with limited features, poor contrast, a TN screen panel and crosstalk in 3D all holding it back.
Surprisingly Accurate Image
This Sony TV is a good little model for occasional use. Colours are accurate and viewing angles are wider than most LCD TVs. It's just a shame that the IPS screen doesn't have Full HD resolution or a better contrast ratio.
