We've finally finished our review of another new TV, this time from LG, whose LW980 uses Nano Full LED backlighting.  We looked at the 55'' version, but a smaller 47'' model is also available.

During CES 2011 this time last year, LG unveiled the LW950, a new television that was set to get Full LED backlighting, active 3D and a 400 Hz refresh rate.  But after the popularity of its Cinema 3D range, which use passive 3D instead, LG went back to the drawing board, switching active 3D technology for passive and renaming the LW950 as the LW980 along the way.  It relies on polarised glasses like the ones you get at the cinema that are not just lighter and more comfortable to wear but also much cheaper to produce.
