TV Review: LG PK790, a 50'' plasma for under a thousand pounds

This is the first of LG's 2010 televisions to pay a visit to our lab.  The 50'' version of the PK790 is a plasma TV with an attractive spec and a reasonable price below the £1000 barrier, although the larger 60'' version is a little more pricey.

Even though this technology isn't the best choice for PC monitors or games consoles because of screen burn, it's a great alternative to LCD on televisions because it often represents great value for money with excellent results.
