TV Energy Consumption Compared: Plasma vs LCD Technology

Over the past few years, manufacturers have managed to bring the energy consumption of both plasma and LCD TVs right down.  But a lot of people still want to know whether LCD TVs are always more efficient than plasmas?  And if they are, how big are the savings that you can expect to make?
