This week's tests + last week's top fives: Photokina, sound bars ...

With the Photokina trade show opening to the public in Cologne tomorrow, then digital camera manufacturers all have big announcements up their sleeves.  In the past few weeks, we've seen news from Sony and Canon to name just two, while Fujifilm unveiled a new fixed-lens compact with a large sensor just this morning.

We're sure there will be more news during the fair itself (which is why we've already got a team on the ground!) but in the meantime we have the usual collection of tests and reviews for you.  To start with, though, here's what you enjoyed last week ...

Reviews coming up this week

• Monday: after our look at the problems with the panel switching that can affect some brands of TVs, we compared the same Samsung TV-the C630-with two different panels, one PVA made by Samsung itself, and another version fitted with an MVA display from AU Optronics.
• Tuesday: we'll be reviewing two different Canon cameras: the PowerShot SX130 IS and the more powerful PowerShot S95.

• Wednesday: will see a laser printer from Dell.

• Thursday: we'll be launching a new range of audio tests, looking at the sound bars that promise to offer the surround sound experience without taking up as much space as a traditional installation.

• Friday:  as ever, we'll end the week with a look at laptops, featuring the HP G62 this time round.
