This week's tests + last week's top fives: Mac Mini, LED Lamps, Retina

Last week, the biggest news on the site was our exclusive review of the Logitech G700, but its popularity had to face up to ongoing enthusiasm for Samsung's monitors, including the PX2370, the F2380M and the XL2370.  So it's probably good news that Samsung has recently announced news of an update to its monitor range!

Over the coming week, we'll be getting back to two product categories we've not looked at for a little while, vacuum cleaners and media centres.

Reviews coming up this week

Our full test of the new Apple Mac Mini is coming next on Friday

Here's a quick reminder of our weekly plan so you know where you stand:
Mondays: displays, including monitors and TVs. Tuesdays: cameras, camcorders and peripherals. Wednesdays: hardware components and printers. Thursdays: mobiles, smartphones and audio equipment. Fridays: laptops, notebooks, buyer's guides. Saturdays and Sundays: insight and analysis.

  • Thursday: the hardware theme continues with two Intel CPUs, and—rather than testing one smartphone—we'll be comparing one feature on two big rivals, seeing how the 'retina display' on the iPhone 4 with the new AMOLED display on the Samsung Galaxy S
  • Friday: will be an Apple-centric day with tests of navigation software for the iPhone and the new Mac Mini
  • Saturday: our weekly Buyer's Guides are back with a look at our pick of headphones
  • Sunday: a few weeks ago we looked at the technology behind LED lamps, but it's time to get down to some serious tests.
Finally: don't forget you can follow @digitalversus on Twitter for updates and info!
