The main news last week was Apple's launch of version 4.0 of its iPhone OS, just a few days after the iPad went on sale in the US.
We took our first look at the famous new tablet yesterday, but last week also saw our test of yet another Android handset--the HTC Legend--along with an entirely different way of enjoying portable entertainment at home: widescreen, Full HD laptops with Blu-ray players like the Sony Vaio VPCEC1 or the Toshiba Qosmio X500.
Here's what you were enjoying last week ...

The Samsung SyncMaster PX2370: Coming next Monday on DigitalVersus
Here's a quick reminder of our weekly plan so you know where you stand:
Mondays: displays, including monitors and TVs. Tuesdays: cameras, camcorders and peripherals. Wednesdays: hardware components and printers. Thursdays: mobiles, smartphones and audio equipment. Fridays: laptops, notebooks, buyer's guides. Saturdays and Sundays: insight and analysis.
Mondays: displays, including monitors and TVs. Tuesdays: cameras, camcorders and peripherals. Wednesdays: hardware components and printers. Thursdays: mobiles, smartphones and audio equipment. Fridays: laptops, notebooks, buyer's guides. Saturdays and Sundays: insight and analysis.
- Tuesday: we began the week with two very different digital cameras, the Olympus Pen E-PL1 and the Canon EOS 550D. Both combine two features that are indispensable to good quality photos: a large sensor and interchangeable lenses--but other than that they couldn't be more different! We followed that with a look at another Toshiba TV, this time the Regza 37RV675D.
- Wednesday: after last week's look at laser printers, we're back to multifunction colour inkjets this week with the Brother DCP-365CN. Pocket camcorders like the Kodak Zi8, Sony Bloggie and Flip MinoHD are all the range, but just how successful with this new segment be? We take a look with an in-depth guide. And finally, with summer around the corner, we'll be looking at an innovative new fan from Dyson that promises improved cooling, but doesn't come cheap …
- Thursday: HTC makes a return to our test lab, with a smaller handset this time: the HD mini. In the afternoon, we've got a pair of USB keys, one from Verbatim, the other from LaCie.
- Friday: our series of duels this week focuses on projectors, with the Panasonic PT-AX200E doing battle with the Samsung SP-A600B. After that, our Friday afternoons wouldn't be complete without a look at either some laptops or some netbooks, and this week it's the latter, with the Toshiba Satellite T130 and the MSI X-Slim X350.
- Monday: perhaps the biggest news, though, is eomthing that's coming next week: the Samsung SyncMaster PX2370, a big monitor test that a lot of you have been looking forward to.
And that's not including a few surprises that might just pop up if you're lucky ...
