The Fusion Garage JooJoo tablet has now finally arrived in our offices. Freshly unwrapped and still smelling of 'new', it's already heading off to our testing lab to be put through its paces.
While iPhone-killers have been prowling the market since November 2007, get ready to meet a whole new generation of wannabe iPad-killers. The JooJoo has been available to buy on the Fusion Garage website since 12 May for £319, and has now finally made its way to the DigitalVersus offices. The brainchild of Chandrasekhar Rathakrishnan has a 12.1-inch screen with multitouch control and a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It runs on a Linux-based operating system and has a 4 GB memory, Flash compatibility and is primarily designed for web browsing.

In the somewhat enormous box (see left) you'll find the JooJoo (you can't miss it), a cleaning cloth (essential for this kind of product), a Quick Start user guide and a mains charger. The packaging at least is decent and is fairly similar to Apple's iPad box. As you can see in the photo above though, the JooJoo is considerably bigger than the iPad.
Anyway, we'll be testing the JooJoo this week so keep your eyes peeled for our test and find out if it really is an iPad-killer in the making. In the meantime, why not take a look at our first hands-on with the JooJoo.
