A whole lot of fuss about the Radeon HD 4770. Adored by the press at launch this graphics card was soon out of stock pretty much everywhere. However, a few manufacturer announcements seem to be indicating that it may be on the way back.
TSMC, who produce chips for ATI, are reported to be producing the famous chip again which has a mouthwatering price/performance ratio. According to Hexus.net, Sapphire will soon be offering a new card based on the Radeon HD 4770. It will have a new cooling system. Unfortunately it only seems to have two power supply wires which is often synonymous with a noisy product (can be difficult to regulate). It should cost around one hundred euros.

At the same time HIS has announced the Radeon HD 4770 iCooler. Also an exotic and rather imposing cooling system. Let’s hope that it is able to give both silence and performance. Date and availability have not yet been released.
