Tests: 2.0 and 2.1 speaker kits from Focal and Logitech

The world of multimedia speakers for PCs has been dormant for several months (years?) now, with Creative almost dear and the handful of Altec Lansing products beginning to gather dust.  But life is beginning to return to the sector, with a big comeback from Altec, new developments from Logitech and a newcomer, Edfier.

Here's the models we've just tested:

• Edifier is a Chinese manufacturer, but that doesn't make it an anonymous supplier of budget products.  Its S330D speakers aren't the best--but are from being the worst--speakers we've tested.  We'll have some more of the brand's offerings soon.

• Logitech, by contrast, is a brand that needs no introduction.  It's recently updated its range with two new products, the Z320 and the Z520.
