For our first ever round-up of LED lamps, we've started with a dirty dozen, some of which don't actually have any of the famous light-emitting diodes in them. But why? It's so you can compare these new lamps with older technologies, and see how LED light fares to good old-fashioned incandescent bulbs as well as more modern, 'energy-efficient' compact fluorescent bulbs.
For the LED lamps, we tried all shapes and sizes, including tubes, spots and globes and found very different results. We've included models from Econergyworld, Liquileds, Philips and Xanlite.
We hope you find it enlightening!
