We're delighted to share with you some great news about Samsung's BD-P1500 Blu-ray player: thanks to an update to the firmware, the player now supports both DivX and BD-Live (Blu-ray 2.0) files. When we had this player in our labs, the absence of these two features counted heavily against what was--and still is--a very good product.
Naturally, we've updated our test of the BD-P1500 to take into account these alterations.
If you already own one and would like to try out the new firmware, it's available for download here, and then there are two ways to get it onto your BD-91500: either burn the ISO image onto a CD and play it as if it were a normal disc, or copy it onto a flash drive which you can plug into to the USB port.
