More and more details are filtering through about which existing devices will be able to move over to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and some of Samsung's decisions are likely to leave users unhappy.  After deciding to leave the first version of the Galaxy S at Android 2.3, the Galaxy Tab 7 will, officially at least, be banned from running Android 4.0.

The company claims that the hardware is not powerful enough to run both Android 4.0 and the custom TouchWiz interface, which it uses on both smartphones and tablets.

We're sure that several Galaxy Tab 7 users would happily switch from Android 2.3 and TouchWiz to Android 4.0 on its own though ...

Other Samsung tablets—the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, 7.7 and 7 Plus—aren't affected.
