The Iconia Tab family just keeps on getting bigger. Following the A500, A200, A100 and W500, the A700, with its 10.1-inch panel, is reported to be about to make its appearance.

The world's biggest new technology show, the CES, opens its doors on 10 January, but we're already hearing about the innovations to be announced. According to Russian site Nomobile, the Iconia Tab A700 is likely to be announced at CES 2012. Acer looks set to continue to supply the tablet market, currently dominated by Apple and Samsung.

The Tab A700 is reported to come with a 10.1-inch screen with a 1920 x 1200 pixel definition and be 9.8 millimetres thick. Like the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, the Acer touchscreen tablet is said to run on the Nvidia quad core Tegra 3.

The basic hardware is of course all there: a MicroSD slot, an HDMI out, a 5 Megapixel camera, HD video and a slot for the SIM card. It is also reported to have a 9800 mAh battery for a little over 10 hours playback time.
