Google isn't content with outing just one touchscreen tablet, it seems. After having announced the Nexus 7 at the end of June, the Mountain View web giant could be set to follow up with a 10-inch model selling for under $300.
To make a splash in a new product market, you inevitably need to grab attention. Google has obviously understood this, announcing its upcoming Nexus 7 tablet due to sell for under $200 to sufficient levels of hype. But why stop there? Indeed, it now seems that Google could be looking to make a slightly bigger version of its original 7-inch Nexus tablet.
The Nexus 10 could be on shelves by the autumn, competing fiercely with main market rivals thanks to its relatively affordable $299 price tag (which works out at around £193 without VAT).
In terms of tech specs, this outsized Nexus is expected to be similar to the 7-inch model, with a quad-core Tegra 3 processor and running the latest version of Android—that's 4.1 Jelly Bean. It'll apparently have a 10.1-inch HD IPS screen and come with 16 GB or 32 GB of onboard storage.
Google could therefore be set to take on the tablet market with devices of all shapes and sizes!
