After months, or should I say years, of waiting, Blizzard has just given a definite press release. Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty will be out on July 27th 2010.
To be exact, the first part of the game will be available because Blizzard has chosen to bring out this second opus in 3 parts, each with the single player campaign for one race. This first single player campaign will get you to take the "Terrans" (29 missions) in hand. It will also give you access to mini games that are supposed to facilitate learning the strategic principles of the multi-player mode.
We should say that in this multi-player mode (currently being tested in beta) it is possible to become any of the races, in contrast to single-player mode.
For the moment, neither of the other parts, containing the Zerg and Protoss campaigns, have release dates (it would be astonishing to see them spaced by less than a year). Here's hoping they come sooner though!
