The Swedish service, which has over 10 million members in Europe, is set to become available to US users in the near future, although there's no official launch date yet. After months of tough negotiation with the major record labels, the firm has finally managed to come to an agreement with all of them.
We still don't know how big the Spotify catalogue will be when it launches in the US, nor if American users will have the same terms and conditions as they do in Europe.
Over here, Spotiffy recently imposed certain restrictions on its free service, capping it at ten hours of music a month and only allowing individual tracks to be played five times.
The aim, of course, was to attract more users to the paid-for service, which only represents 10% of current users.
