Silicon Power Announces A USB 3.0 Key With Speeds Up To 100 MB/s

Silicon Power has just announced a new USB 3.0 key, the Marvel M60. This new series will be available in two versions: 32 and 64 GB.


Silcon Power is hitting hard with this new USB 3.0 key. It's very nicely finished, enveloped in a metal shell measuring 73 x 22 x 9 mm for a total weight of 15 grammes. Another interesting point is that the USB connector is retractable, so there's no need for a cap, a good thing for those with their heads in the air.

As for the speeds, they're quite simply excellent. The manufacturer has announced reads of up to 100 MB/s and writes of 70 MB/s on a USB 3.0 port. In USB 2.0 mode, you'll have to settle for reads of just 30 MB/s, the maximum supported by this standard.

The specs of this new USB key are mouthwatering. Unfortunately no information has yet filtered through on the price or release date.
