One handy button
You won't find a real button on top of a touch-screen on many sat navs. The Z201 has one that allows you to go back to the previous screen, which is very convenient. If you press the button any longer, it will switch on/off.
Becker's Traffic Assist Z 100 Crocodile is named so because its shell is meant to look like crocodile skin.
Actually, it looks more like a tyre than anything reptilian. By giving it such a name, Becker wanted to stress the waterproof aspect of its Z 100. Well, splash-prooof or weather-proof really, as it will not stand any sort of water immersion.
This model is very similar to the Traffic Assist Z 201. The interface and the software are almost identical (over 95% similarities) so check out our test.
The only real difference we noticed is related to the speed camera warning that can here be turned on directly via the menu.
The particular design of the Crocodile makes it rather heavy :241 grams while most sat nav devices are under 200 grams.
Weather-proof features
It is a pity that Becker does not offer any options dedicated to hiking or to biking, which would make its weather-proof features really useful. All the more as they come at a rather costly price.

The Crocodile is a mid-range device that sadly does not offer enough features to allow you to put its weatherproof qualities to test (no hiking option for example) and comes therefore at a rather high price.
