Samsung SP-H03 Mini LED Projector

It's always impressive to see how small manufacturers can make video projectors these days. We just couldn't resist showing you a few photos of the Samsung SP-H03 mini LED projector we recently received.

This mini model projects an image in 854 x 480 pixels. It's based on DLP technology and uses LEDs as the light source. The 1 GB internal memory can be easily expanded with a micro SD card, or you can always hook up a USB flash drive. It can read video files including AVI, MP4, ASF and WMV, as well as MPEG4, VC1 and H264, all in video formats of up to 1280 x 720 pixels.

Anyway, enough about the tech specs, here are a few pictures:

The PC IN port pictured above is actually a mini VGA port (adapter supplied). As usual with mini projectors, you can't expect the brightness to be blinding. Here it's advertised at 30 lumens. For bright, colourful images, a white wall in a slightly lit room will do the job just fine, so long as you keep the image size relatively small, probably at around 1 metre maximum. For films with lots of dark or low-lit scenes, however, a pitch black room will give better results.
