The Resident Evil games will also be re-released in HD on Sony and Microsoft consoles this autumn.

Following Metal Gear Solid, Ico, God of War, and Beyond Good & Evil, it's over to Resident Evil for its re-release in HD. Capcom will bring out a compilation including Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code Veronica X for Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 8.

You might remember that Code Veronica, released in 2000 on Dreamcast, in  2001 on PS2 and 2004 on GameCube, gave us the opportunity to accompany Claire Redfield in search of her brother Chris.

Resident Evil 4, came out on Gamecube in March 2005, then on PS2 in 2005 and on Wii in 2007, with gamers this time taking on the character of Leon S. Kennedy in his search for Ashley, the daughter of the President of the United States.

Note, the PS3 version will be available on a single Blu-ray, while on Xbox 360, each game will be on its own DVD.
