Nvidia's entry level cards hadn't yet been included in the 500 series. The GeForce GT 530 and GT 545 have now been introduced, though neither card adds much in the way of innovation.

The GeForce GT 530 is simply a renamed GeForce GT 430. Its clock (700 MHz), processing units (96) and memory (1 or 2 GB of DDR3) are unchanged. It now has HDMI 1.4 connectivity but this is something that could just as easily have been introduced on the GT 430 with a BIOS update.

Next comes the GeForce GT 545 whose spec is identical to that of the GeForce GT 440 OEM. Two versions are available, the first with DDR3 at 900 MHz - with 1.5 GB or 3 GB according to the "more is better" school of thought - and graphics chip at 720 MHz. The second uses DDR5 clocked at 1 GHz ("only" 1 GB) with the GPU at 870 MHz.

Nothing new here except the names of these models on a packaging to give the illusion of a new range.
