We're not sure whether it was a mistake, a mix-up or an actual fact: a TV manufacturer we've spoken to just bragged about signing a deal with Microsoft to make sure its new 3D TVs will work with the 3D content on a console … called the Xbox 720.The implication is that the Xbox 360--which is nearly five years old--won't get support for 3D, but the new Xbox 720 will. We don't know any more than that and the source of this little fact wouldn't say any more …
One thing we do know, though, is that the PlayStation 3 will enjoy a firmware upgrade this summer to become compatible with Blu-ray 3D discs.
