Gaming in 3D
While we're looking at our choice of PC games, it's worth reminding you that this year has seen the arrival of the first 3D/120 Hz monitors. There are currently two, one from Samsung, and another from ViewSonic.

They're mostly aimed at the most demanding of gamers--either those who are keen to play in 3D, where the results are similar to what you'd find at the cinema--or those who want the fastest possible screen for online gaming.

> Test: Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision
We have no desire to tell gamers what they should be buying. But if you really have no idea of what's going on, or quite simply PC games are popular and you absolutely HAVE TO give someone a game for Christmas, here’s a helping hand!

Before we take a look at our selection of PC games here's an idea of what's it like to play Colin McRae: DIRT 2:

FPS

Colin McRae: DiRT 2

Street Fighter IV

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

This game has everything to wow racing fans: atmosphere, control and great graphics. This is a game that will please fans of the Street Fighter saga as well those who are just discovering it now.  For the first time, Capcom has managed to combine all of the successful elements from the previous versions in one title.
A Live mode gives this game an unlimited lifespan, plenty of weapons and excellent graphics.  If you're a fan of the genre, you can't not try this one.

Our 3D Favourite

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010

Dragon Age: Origins

Batman: Arkham Asylum

PES 2010 is THE best football simulation available on the PC.
Dragon Age: Origins is an incredibly successful role-playing game.  It has very up-to-date gameplay and a brand new class system.  It also has a very clever story that's long enough to draw you in.
Arkham Asylum is a very well thought-out title.  Prepare to step into the skin of a super hero--or a super villain!
