Printer: Lexmark Pro905, the inkjet that's cheaper to run than a laser

The Pro905 is almost a dream-come-true in the shape of a printer.  Apart from the fact printing black-and-white documents costs less than a penny a page, when the average for a laser printer is three times that, and other inkiest cost double, it has a whole range of other advantages, including WiFi and Ethernet connectivity, double-sided printing and the same touchscreen display and programmable features as the S605.

As if that wasn't enough, Lexmark has also doubled the size of the paper tray, included drivers for all OS and a fax machine.

But just who is this test for?  Well, everybody should read it: perhaps only a handful of offices will need to spend this much on a printer, but it's a sign of things to come, with some features already available on the more affordable S605.  It's always worth taking a look at what the future has in store …
