The Canon i-sensys 4580dn is identical to the MF4570dn with an automatic double-sided 50-page loader in addition. The machine is otherwise the same. It will therefore give the same print quality, there will be the same cost per page (the same cartridges) and speeds are the same.
What differences are there?
Hardware: Here Canon is promising a compact, rapid, energy efficient model for smaller desktops.
This 4-in-1 black & white laser has been designed for small work groups or personal use. On the programme: print, copy, scan and fax, all double-sided if that's what you want.

Speeds: The same as those for the MF4570dn. From entry-level up to the highest-end, the cartridges and motor are the same.
ISO lifespan for text

Pluses
-
Good speeds
-
Networked, fax and double-sided with additional 50-page loader
-
Turns on rapidly from sleep mode
-
Quieter than average
-
Intuitive and easy to use
Minuses
-
High cost per page: 2.8 pence
-
Shades of grey poorly reproduced
-
Copies are poor quality
-
Consumables supplied but partially empty
The Canon i-sensys MF4580dn is a responsive printer, turns on fast and prints rapidly. Nevertheless quality won't satisfy the most demanding and cost per page is quite high if you do a lot of printing.
