Pentax launches Optio M90

After the E90 at £65, the H90 at £130 and the I-10 at £175, you would be forgiven for thinking that Pentax had arrived filled out its range for 2010.  But the manufacturer has just released a fourth camera that slots in the gap left by the others: the Pentax M90 will come onto the market in mid May for around £150.

It will have a 28-140 f/3.5-5.9 lens, much like those found on the H90 and I-10.  The same 12 Megapixel sensor is also back, and the Optio M90 has a lot in common with its ancestors, but with a more modern-looking case.

Like the other models, its 2.7'' LCD screen with a resolution of 230 000 pixels.

There's no mechanical stabilisation, unlike on the I-10, and video is VGA, not HD.

In short, it's an incredibly boring camera, which will almost certainly pass unnoticed amongst so many similar models at this price point.
