The Panasonic GF1 is now on sale, at the prices originally announced by Panasonic: around £600 for the camera body itself, around £700 with the 14-45 mm lens kit and even more with the f/1.7 20 mm pancake lens.
So a ready-to-go GF1 with a 14-45 mm lens kit will set you back around £700, but if you shop around, you'll find that there are a lot of other options at different prices depending on the lenses you go for.
In case you needed a reminder, the GF1 is a camera with an SLR-style large sensor in the new micro 4/3 form factor that can also film in 720p HD. It's a similar concept to the Olympus Pen E-P1, but with a modern-looking design in place of the latter's retro styling.
We're testing one right now, but we've already had a chance to give you a brief hands-on and some sample photos.
