New stock arrives at Akihabara every day, and the prices never stay the same for long.
And when it's the end of the line for a certain product, they go through the floor. Look what we found hidden in a corner:
The Sony DSC-WX1 was released a few months ago, and was one of the first cameras to feature the new back-illuminated sensor which works so well in low light conditions. It also showed off the effective--and popular--automatic panorama mode.
And it costs 14 800 yen, or even 14 060 yen if you can get it without tax. That's less than £100. Here's what it would cost you here:
So you shouldn't be surprised to learn that I went and bought one, despite the advice of the salesman who thought I'd never understand a word of the menus written in Japanese. It's actually pretty easy because most of them use icons, but I'll let you know ...
