With the launch of the Nintendo 3DS now just one week away, it looks like some retailers are pretty keen on shifting any remaining Nintendo DS Lite consoles. Although older than the DSi, the DS Lite is still a decent console, especially considering its new rock-bottom price!

Amazon UK has slashed the DS Lite down to £99, making it an excellent option for anyone who's budget won't quite stretch to a 3DS or for users who don't give a hoot about 3D screens.

The Nintendo DS Lite was replaced by the Nintendo DSi, which has two built-in cameras. The DSi has a 3.25" screen, upped from 3" in the DS Lite, and is slimmer, lighter and also gained an SD card reader. However, the DSi doesn't have a GBA port for compatibility with old Game Boy Advance games.

Obviously, sales of the Nintendo 3DS are sure to overtake those of older models when the 3D console is released on 25 March. Those of you who can't wait to get your hands on its glasses-free 3D screen can already pre-order the console from several retailers.
